The short version
The code, JSON, XML, YAML, SQL, and text you paste into Format Champ's formatters, validators, converters, diff checker, and encoders is processed entirely in your browser. It is not uploaded to, or stored on, our servers as part of using these tools.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate site usage — which pages are visited, roughly how much traffic the site gets, and general performance metrics. We also use Google Ads conversion tracking. These services may set cookies or use similar technologies in your browser and can collect information such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. See Google's Privacy Policy for details on how Google handles this data.
Comments (Disqus)
Tool pages include an optional comments section powered by Disqus, a third-party service. If you choose to view or post comments, Disqus may set its own cookies and collect data according to Disqus's Privacy Policy. You are not required to interact with comments to use any formatting tool.
Accounts and data storage
Format Champ does not require account creation or login. We do not maintain a database of the text or code you process with our tools.
Local storage
Your theme preference (light or dark mode) is saved in your browser's local storage so it persists between visits. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
